Feds visit Boise as new wildfire strategy takes shape
With the National Interagency Fire Center reporting that over 30,000 personnel are fighting more than 100 large wildfires nationwide, they raised the National Preparedness Level to 5, its highest setting, even as the secretaries of Agriculture and the Interior highlighted changes they say will improve the federal response to wildfires.
