Wildfire statistics for the year so far

CAL FIRE officials reported that the Golden State experienced a total of 11,014 wildfires this year, of which 6,269 grew into fires which burned 10 acres or more, leaving nearly a million acres burned, destroying 1,425 structures and damaging another 255.
