USA Today provided an update on wildfires burning across North and South Carolina, including an interactive map which shows where the blazes are currently burning, as 189 fires in North Carolina burn on 2,235 acres, with Polk County's Melrose Fire topping the list at 593 acres, amid threats of severe storms and tornadoes brewing up in the Carolinas.
