Judges: Reject SDG&E bid to charge customers for $379 million in wildfire costs
San Diego Gas & Electric’s request to bill customers $379 million for the costs of the Witch, Guejito and Rice Fires, sparked by their equipment in 2007, that resulted in the deaths of three people and the destruction of more than 2,500 homes and outbuildings, has been rejected by two judges, drawing an angry response from SDG&E.
