"Operation Sky Hammer" comes to Jeffco Airtanker Base in Broomfield

Starting in July, a team of two S-64 helicopters, funded by the USFS will be forward-deployed to Jeffco Airtanker Base in Broomfield, Colorado, to create a powerful new firefighting team under the aegis of “Operation Sky Hammer” to better deal with wildfires across the Rocky Mountain Region.
