Southern California faces extended stretch of heightened wildfire dangers
Outlooks released by the National Interagency Fire Center show that Southern California is expected to continue to face an increased risk of wildfires for much of the year, and that fire activity across parts of the southern tier of the country, including the Desert Southwest, Florida and the Carolinas, will continue through at least May.
