WILDFIRE NEWS OF THE DAY - 080908

Wildfire news was really light today. In San Diego, a small brushfire broke out in San Ysidro. Climate change was once again blamed for the wildfire season to date (and projections of more to come). And a number of wildfires in Canada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Virginia made the news. Finally, the fire folks in Lake Tahoe are discussing wildfires and how to prevent them, especially in light of the recent fires throughout California. Let’s hope they come up with some workable plans, as this fire season is just getting started and it’s probably going to be a long year.
