WILDFIRE NEWS OF THE DAY - 121308

Wildfire news was in decidedly short supply today, but we lead off with a sign of the season as the Super Scoopers rented by San Diego head north for the winter, leaving the question, with the current financial shortfalls, of whether they will return next year. In Texas, they're bracing for wind-driven wildfires, hoping they don't materialize. In the Caribbean, Trinidad & Tobago are concerned about the dry season coming up and the possibility of bushfires that could denude hills already hard hit by fires and development. And finally, firefighters reading this should probably take note of the last article - it might save you from an unfortunate accident!
