Wildfire NOTD subscriber Tom Lasser, a retired Lt Colonel in the California National Guard, sent along an article in which former Governor Jerry Brown discussed a two-page document dubbed the Venado Declaration, after the name of the area where his land sits, which states that it’s time to shift the wildfire paradigm from one of suppression and exclusion, to one of stewardship and adaptation.
