Cal Fire Firefighters Seek Pay Raises in Proposed Contract
CAL FIRE union leadership is asking for three small pay raises over the next year, shorter shifts, and a new stipend to help cover health insurance costs in a new proposed contract in order to gain parity with other fire agencies and clear up a problem of staffing shortages, all of which will cost the state an additional $126 million a year.
