US National Interagency Fire Center Wildfire Update as of August 12th

National Interagency Fire Center officials reported that, as of Monday, approximately 27,200 wildland firefighters and support personnel were battling 78 large wildfires burning on 2,404,053 acres across the U.S., with evacuation orders in effect for 17 of those fires.
