UNEP says green future at stake amid wildfires, noise pollutions

A new report from the UN Environment Program titled "Noise, Blazes and Mismatches: Emerging Issues of Environmental Concern," indicated that an estimated 423 million hectares (4.23 square kilometers) of the Earth's land surface comprising mixed forest and savannah ecosystems were razed by wildfires between 2002 to 2016.
