Red & Blue Foundation
Wildfire NOTD subscriber Leda Kobziar, a Professor of Wildland Fire Science at the University of Idaho, sent along the following in regards to the tragic ambush/shooting of three wildland firefighters on Canfield Mountain last Sunday: "The Red and Blue Foundation is spearheading the coordinated support efforts for those affected by the horrific events on Canfield Mountain in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on 6/29. The Foundation is working directly with Coeur d'Alene Fire Department (CdA Fire), Kootenai County Fire and Rescue (KCFR), the injured firefighter, and the families of those we tragically lost. It has established several dedicated donation funds to provide comprehensive support: Fallen CdA Fire Battalion Chief Morrison Family Donations; Fallen KCFR Battalion Chief Harwood Family Donations; Injured CdA Firefighter Tysdal Donations; and the Canfield Incident Fund – This fund will be distributed equally among all three families."
