Wildfire news was unusually light today, leading off with a story about another wildfire at Griffith Park in LA and the follow-on story about the arrest of an arsonist parolee who is suspected of starting it. Two stories about Tennessee wildfires follow, while the Eagle Fire is (finally) nearing containment up near Big Bar. A wind-driven wildfire near Elko, Nevada, spread to over 12,000 acres, and air-tankers pounced on a fast-moving grassfire in Washington State. Lightning-caused wildfires cropped up in Oregon, again (and I'm sure fire managers are praying for rain to put them out, as happened with the previous strikes).
