Innovative wildfire prevention tech would be developed, deployed under pending legislation
A bipartisan, bicameral group of lawmakers introduced the Fire Innovation Unit Act of 2025, H.R. 6094/S. 3190, into Congress, which would direct that a public-private wildfire technology deployment and demonstration pilot program be established for private entities to deploy emerging wildfire technologies directly alongside federal agencies.
