Following the U.S. Forest Service's decision last week to provide N95 masks to wildland firefighters for voluntary use and for light duty tasks only, the Federation of American Scientists urged investment in developing personal protective equipment that is specifically designed for the unique hazards and demands of wildland firefighting.
