Members of the Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Compact, which consists of all six New England states and New York, along with five Canadian provinces, met at the end of January in South Portland to discuss the wildfire risk in the Northeast following last fall's devastating East Coast wildfires and LA's deadly January wildfires.
