Lawmakers push to expand hazard pay for federal wildland firefighters
There is a push in Congress to expand the use of hazard pay for federal wildland firefighters through introduction of the Wildland Firefighter Hazard Pay Correction Act, which would loosen restrictions so that hazard pay also applies to situations where firefighters are conducting prescribed burns or doing training jumps.
