Texas A&M Forest Service: Nearly 7,000 acres over 22 new wildfires burned
Texas A&M Forest Service officials reported that firefighters responded to 22 new wildfires over the weekend that were burning on 6,776 acres across the Lone Star State, as a high-pressure ridge moved westward, offering the possibility of showers and thunderstorms from Lubbock to Lufkin.
