California to receive 7 firefighting planes from Defense Department, Gov. Newsom says
On Saturday, Governor Newsom and Sen. Alex Padilla announced that firefighting crews across the Golden State will have a new weapon in their arsenal to help fight wildfires starting next year in the form of seven C-130 aircraft from the Department of Defense.
