Operation Save Lake Tahoe - $60M plan to bring in permanent firefighting helicopters
Since there is no firefighting or rescue helicopter assigned to California's Lake Tahoe region on a dedicated, permanent basis, the Tahoe Douglas Fire Chief is trying to change by launching "Operation - Save the Tahoe Basin" to raise $60M to create a helicopter base with two helicopters.
