Feds to Wildland Firefighters: Stop 'Let It Burn' Strategy
Following criticism from several quarters over U.S. Forest Service's 'let it burn' strategy, which has allowed some easily-controllable wildfires to burn out of control, the U.S. Forest Service Chief is directing wildland firefighters to cease that practice, shifting priorities to focus on firefighter and public safety.
