More Fires Mean Less Funds For Local Forest Service Projects


The USFS Regional Forester for Pacific Southwest Region discussed the spiraling costs of fighting wildfires following a year in which the Pacific Southwest Region spent in excess of $500 million on preventing or suppressing wildfires and U.S. Forest Service spent over $2.4 billion on wildfires nationwide.
